Registration and Membership Deadlines to Appear on the Program
If you have been accepted to the Program in a panel, roundtable, film screening, or session, you must register for the conference AND be a member of NAISA. All those listed in the 2025 Program MUST be members of NAISA. Remember to sign-up or renew your NAISA membership before the conference.

NAISA memberships run from January 1st through December 31st of each year. Memberships must be renewed at the beginning of each calendar year. NAISA membership is handled by the University of Minnesota Press, the publisher of our journal, Native American & Indigenous Studies (NAIS). Click for more information on the journal NAIS. ​Membership Types
Membership Rates:

$25 USD - Students, retired people, and community member

$50 USD - Limited resources: People starting out in their careers (would include many assistant professors) and others with limited resources

$100 USD - Comfortable: People who have stability in their careers (would include many associate professors and some independent scholars

$150 USD - Well established: People who have achieved positions of sustained security (would include most full professors)

$250 USD - Institutional

$2,000 USD - Lifetime
​Individual Memberships
Individuals may sign up for membership at tiered rates. Membership includes:

Complimentary job postings on the NAISA Opportunities page (website account required; privilege available to Individual memberships only)

The privilege to vote in the regular and special elections (privilege available to Individual memberships only)

Institutional Memberships
Institutional memberships are available for libraries, schools, colleges, universities, academic departments, and educational non-profits to be able to subscribe to the NAIS journal. Please note: Aside from a NAIS journal subscription, an institutional membership does not include other privileges of an individual membership, such as the complimentary posting of job announcements on our Opportunities page, and cannot be used for NAISA conference admission.
